This policy explains what personal data Cognify Technologies (SMC-Private) Limited (“Cognify”, “we”, “us”) collects through cognify.ltd, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are

What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us:
- Enquiry details. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, and — where you provide them — your company name, project type, platforms, timeline, budget range and the message you write.
- Email correspondence. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence and anything attached to it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, which may include IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These are generated automatically and used for security and diagnostics.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
Cookies
This website sets no marketing or analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
- To prepare a proposal or scope document you have requested.
- To keep records of business correspondence.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse.
Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and securing our systems.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Where an enquiry leads to a contract, we retain the correspondence for the duration of that relationship and for as long as required afterwards for legal, accounting and tax purposes.
Who can see it
Enquiries are read by Cognify personnel involved in responding to them. Data is processed by our hosting and email providers acting on our instructions. We disclose personal data to anyone else only where legally required.
Where it is stored
Enquiry data is delivered to our company mailbox and stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure, which may be located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to our use of it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, emailinfo@cognify.ltd. We respond within 30 days.
Confidentiality of your project
Project information shared with us during an enquiry is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share detail — ask, and we will arrange it before the conversation goes further.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited on the server. Access to enquiry data is limited to personnel who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you send us.
Children
This website is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use existing data will be notified to affected individuals where we hold contact details for them.
